Collision between bus and car closed Amersham Hill, High Wycombe

| January 26, 2018

Amersham Hill in High Wycombe was closed for a time on the morning of Friday 26th January 2018 following a collision between a bus and car.

The collision occurred at the junction with Totteridge Road just above the railway station.

The bus involved was on the 31 route operated by Arriva, which runs along Totteridge Road, from Penn to the Eden Bus Station when it was involved in a collision with a black car.

Police closed Amersham Hill while the wreckage was removed. Vehicles travelling up Amersham Hill were diverted along Castle Street and into Priory Road. Traffic congestion built up in the local area. Bus services using the affected roads were delayed while they took alternative routes to avoid the road closures.

As a result of the collision the side panelling of the bus was significantly damaged, the car also sustained damage to the front on the drivers side. Although paramedics attended it is not know if anyone was injured as a result of the accident.

All affected roads have since reopened.
