A charity pancake race due to take place at the Eden Centre in High Wycombe on Tuesday 13th February 2018 has been cancelled.
The annual pancake race, organised by High Wycombe Shopmobility, was due to take place at 12.30pm however the 2018 event has been cancelled due to lack of interest.
A tweet posted on the High Wycombe Shopmobility Twitter account on Friday February 9th 2018 said: ‘It’s with a heavy heart that we will have to cancel the annual pancake race on 13-2-18, as we only have 3 teams signed up to take part….‘.
The High Wycombe Shopmobility website contained a similar message adding that ‘It has been a hard and disappointing decision to make as we were looking forward to some flipping good fun this pancake day. Fingers crossed it’ll be back next year.‘
In 2017 the pancake race, which took place outside the Library in the Eden Centre and was won by the Eden Centre Security team, raised over £146 for the High Wycombe Shopmobility.
