National charity supporting elderly and terminally ill people and their pets seeks volunteers in High Wycombe

| February 15, 2018

A national charity supporting elderly and terminally ill people and their pets is looking for new volunteers in the High Wycombe area.

The Cinnamon Trust seeks to keep owner and pet together for as long as possible with the help of a national network of volunteers who assist when day to day pet care poses a problem.

Volunteers are required in the High Wycombe area to help take Baxter and Humphrey (who are both Cocker Spaniels) out for some walks as their owner has sadly been unwell and so unable to take her marvellous companions out.

The Cinnamon Trust often has a plethora of new requests from elderly or chronically ill residents from over the local area who approach them looking for help in finding like minded dog lovers to take their beloved pets out for much needed walks and so enable them to keep their furry family members with them for as long as possible.

The volunteer walkers take it in turns to visit housebound owners and take dogs for daily walks. Volunteers can also foster pets as one of their family when owners face a spell in hospital, they take pets to the vet, clean the budgie’s cage out, etc.

Further information on becoming a volunteer for The Cinnamon Trust can be found at www.cinnamon.org.uk or by emailing [email protected].
