Wycombe Wanderers 0-0 Port Vale

| March 24, 2018

Saturday 24th March 2018 saw Port Vale pay a visit to Adams Parks for a League Two match with Wycombe Wanderers.

The first attempt on goal came in the eighth minute when Wycombe’s Adebayo Akinfenwa headed from the centre of the box however the ball was saved in the top centre of the goal.

Four minutes later another Wycombe player, Dominic Gape, took a shot from outside the box however once again the ball was saved in the centre of the goal.

Despite their best efforts Wycombe were unable to find a way to get the ball past the Port Vale goal keeper, Ryan Boot, who made many good saves to keep the score goalless at half time.

The sixty third minute saw Port Vale’s Tyrone Barnett force the Wycombe keeper, Scott Brown, to make a spectacular save to prevent the shot from outside the box from sailing into the bottom right corner of the Wycombe net.

Despite their best attempts neither side could find a way to get the ball into the back of their opponents net thanks to the best efforts of the two goalkeepers resulting in a goalless, but very entertaining, draw.

During the match Wycombe managed to achieve 51% possession and of their ten shots on goal seven were on target. Port Vale made four shots on the Wycombe goal of which two were on target. The game saw twenty nine fouls, sixteen by Wycombe and thirteen by Port Vale.
