Man charged with firearms offences in Lane End

Police have charged a man in connection with firearms offences and racially/religiously aggravated harassment that took place in Lane End.

The charges relate to an incident that occurred on the evening of Friday 20th July 2018 in Simmons Way, Lane End. During the incident a man was threatened with a handgun.

A previous incident took place on Friday 6th July 2018 in Thorne Road, Lane End where another man was threatened with a handgun.

A 32 year old man of Thorne Road, Lane End was arrested on Friday 20th July 2018 and charged on Saturday 21st July 2018 with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violent and one count of racially/religiously aggravated harassment with fear of violence.

The 32 year old man appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates Court on Monday 23rd July 2018 and is scheduled to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday 21st August 2018.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Trevivian of Force CID at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I would like to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact 101, quoting reference number 43180222495.
