83 year old woman sexually assaulted in Stoke Poges

An elderly woman was the victim of a sexual assault in Stoke Poges on Friday 24th August 2018.

At about 2.00pm, on Friday 24th August 2018, an 83 year old woman was approached by a man in the driveway of her home in Stoke Poges. The man told the 83 year old woman that he was from the council. When the woman challenged the man for identification he said he would return to his car to get it.

Shortly afterwards the man returned to the 83 year old woman’s driveway and sexually assaulted her. The man then left the scene.

During the incident the woman sustained minor injuries however she did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a man with a dark complexion, aged in his thirties or forties, of average height with short hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and driving a silver or grey car.

Investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Scott Messenger, said: ‘This was clearly a traumatic incident for the victim, and she is being supported by specially trained officers.

This type of offence is rare, and a team of officers is investigating the incident. Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out.
