House of Fraser stores in High Wycombe and Aylesbury saved from closure

| September 23, 2018

The House of Fraser stores in High Wycombe and Aylesbury are set to remain open reversing an earlier decision to close them.

On Thursday 7th June 2018 the department store chain announced that it would be closing thirty of its fifty nine stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland as part of a plan to rescue the group from financial problems.

Among the stores identified for closure were the House of Fraser stores in the Eden Centre, High Wycombe and the branch in the Friars Square Shopping Centre in Aylesbury.

The stores were set to remain open until early 2019, however it has been announced that the decision to close around twenty of the stores, including the High Wycombe and Aylesbury shops, has been reversed after Mike Ashley, of Sports Direct, bought the House of Fraser chain out of administration in August 2018.

  • Altrincham
  • Aylesbury
  • Birkenhead
  • Camberley

  • Darlington
  • Doncaster
