A new Aldi supermarket opened in Baker Street, High Wycombe on Thursday 27th September 2018.
Hundreds of shoppers flocked to the supermarket on its opening day to visit High Wycombe’s newest shop. By mid morning the car park was full and motorists were queuing to find a parking space.
Built on the site of the former George Street car park, which closed in September 2017, the development is part of Wycombe District Council’s ‘investing in our district’ regeneration work in the Baker Street area of High Wycombe town centre.
German discount chain Aldi now has around 762 stores in the United Kingdom since opening their first UK shop in 1990. Worldwide the Aldi group has around 2,500 stores in Germany and 8,000 stores throughout the rest of the world. In 2010 Aldi had a revenue of fifty three billion Euros.
The opening hours for the new Aldi in High Wycombe, which has 92 parking spaces, are :
- Monday to Friday : 8.00am to 10.00pm
- Saturday : 8.00am to 10.00pm
- Sunday : 10.00am to 4.00pm
