Variation made to anti-prostitution Public Spaces Protection Order in Desborough Road, High Wycombe

A variation has been made to the Desborough Road Public Spaces Protection Order.

A series of yellow notices, dated 22nd October 2018, have recently been displayed on lamp posts in Desborough Road making the public aware that Wycombe District Council has made the Public Spaces Protection Order (Variation) (No. 2) 2018 under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

The notices state that:

2. The purpose of the proposed Order is to amend provisions of the Desborough Road Public Spaces Protection Order (“the original Order”) dated 1st February 2017. The proposed Order provides for the revision of the restriction contained in the original Order to clarify the persons to whom it applies and will now read as :

Person(s) shall not engage, loiter or solicit with a view to engaging in obtaining sexual services in the designated area.

NOTE : Reference to “Person(s)” includes person(s) in a vehicle or on foot.’

At section four on the notice it states :

4. A copy of the proposed and original Orders is available from the following address: Community Safety, Wycombe District Council, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, Bucks. HP11 1BB.
