Cyclist, 57, dies following a collision on the A413 in Chalfont St Peter

A 57 year old cyclist has died following a collision on the A413 in Chalfont St Peter.

On Friday 16th November 2018, at around 1.45pm, a grey Volkswagen Passat and a cyclist were involved in a collision while travelling on the A413 Amersham Road near the junction with Chalfont Park.

The cyclist, a 57 year old man from Amersham, sustained injuries in the collision and was treated at the scene. He was subsequently taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance where he later died. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed while emergency services were in attendance however it was reopened at 4.00pm on Friday 16th November 2018.

Investigating officer PC Victoria Jones, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, following which a man sadly died, or anyone who may have seen the Volkswagen Passat or the cyclist travelling in the area shortly before the collision.
