Wycombe Wanderers visited The Stadium of Light on Saturday 17th November 2018 for a League One match against Sunderland.
Wycombe took the match to Sunderland and made opportunities in the first half however that extra something that turns shots into goals eluded the Chairboys despite making several good attempts on the Sunderland goal.
Both sides had opportunities during the first half, however the score was still goalless when the whistle blew at half time.
It was Wycombe who took the lead in the sixty seventh minute when Fred Onyedinma shot from the centre of the box with the ball ending up high in the centre of the Sunderland goal.
Sunderland kept pressing and fought back in the eighty fourth minute through a shot from Josh Maja which found the bottom left corner of the Wycombe goal.
Following today’s game Wycombe are in fifteenth position in League one with twenty two points from eighteen games.
