Burglars threaten three people with a spade and knife before demanding money

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Iver on Tuesday 5th December 2018.

At around 7.10pm on Tuesday 5th December 2018 two men forced entry to a property Syke Cluan, Iver using a rear door.

Once inside the property the men threatened a woman and a man in their fifties and a woman in her eighties with a spade and knife before demanding money. Two of the victims were assaulted and one victim, the man in his fifties, sustained arm injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

However no property was stolen during the burglary.

The two men are described as between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 11ins tall, they were all wearing dark clothing, had their faces covered with balaclavas and spoke with Eastern European accents. When the men left the property they all got in to a vehicle.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Victoria Bygrave of Force CID in Aylesbury, said: ‘There are likely to be more patrols in the area following this incident while further investigations take place.
