Cyclist dies following collision with van in Amersham
A fatal collision claimed the life of a cyclist in Amersham on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
At 6.05pm a white van was involved in a collision with a cyclist in Woodside Road, Amersham at the mini roundabout junction with Chiltern Avenue.
Emergency services attended the scene of the collision however the cyclist, a 45 year old man from Amersham, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
The road was closed while officers from Thames Valley Police investigated the collision however it had reopened by 9.30pm.
Investigating officer PC Linzi Turner, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘We are currently working to establish the circumstances in this collision in which a man sadly lost his life and I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the events or who has any dash-cam footage of the incident.

A 36 year old man from Chesham has been arrested by Police on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. The man was released on police bail until Monday 14th January 2019.
