Taxi driver stabbed in Herbert Road, Micklefield, High Wycombe

A taxi driver was stabbed in Herbert Road, High Wycombe on Thursday 21st February 2019.

Between 10.30am and 11.30am, a 34 year old taxi driver was in a Silver Hyundai vehicle when he sustained stab wounds to his arm and abdomen after being attacked by a young male.

The taxi driver was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he remains in a stable condition.

Investigating officer Detective Constable James Wood, of Force CID at High Wycombe, said: ‘This incident occurred in the middle of the morning near to the Micklefield Library.

I am appealing for anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident to contact police.

I am also appealing to anybody who may have dash-cam footage at around the time of the incident to get in touch.

This was a nasty attack, and the victim has required hospital treatment, although thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police have arrested three 16 year old boys from High Wycombe in connection with the incident on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have all been released on conditional police bail until Tuesday 19th March 2019.
