Attempted robbery of Deliveroo delivery man in Aylesbury

A Deliveroo food delivery man was the victim of an attempted robbery in Aylesbury on Sunday 24th February 2019.

At around 8.30pm, a 35 year old man, was delivering food just off Churchill Avenue in Aylesbury. The man was on a path on his bicycle that runs parallel to Prevendal Avenue. A man stepped in front of the victim and grabbed hold of the Deliveroo bag, stating that he wanted the contents. The food develiery man was then verbally threatened.

Eventually the food delivery man started shouting which gave him the opportunity to get away, however a second man remained a little way away and watched the incident unfold.

The first man who took part in the attempted robbery is described as a white man, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build. He was wearing a burgundy hooded top, dark coloured trousers, dark coloured trainers, gloves, a distinctive clown face balaclava and spoke with a London accent.

The second man who watched the incident is a white man, around 6ft tall, with a pale complexion and blond hair. He was wearing a black hooded top, dark trousers and gloves.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Thomas Booth, of Aylesbury CID, said: ‘The victim in this incident was not injured and we would like to thank him for his help with this investigation.

We would like anyone who saw or heard this incident to get in touch as it is very likely that someone has further information about this incident which could help with the investigation.
