Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 22nd April 2019
Week commencing Monday 22nd April 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bank Holidays
Bus companies will run their Sunday timetables on the following bank holidays in 2019, bus routes which do not have a Sunday timetable will not operate :
- Easter Monday 22nd April 2019
- Monday 6th May 2019
- Monday 27th May 2019
- Monday 26th August 2019
Bus Diversions
Cressex Road, High Wycombe : Monday 21st January to Friday 3rd May 2019. Due to road configuration works this road will be closed on either side of the Cressex link/Coronation Road junction during this period. School day bus routes 643 and 655 will need to divert via the A4010 and the stops on Cressex Road between New Road/John Hall Way and the Marlow Road junction will not be served.
Little Horwood Road, Great Horwood : Monday 15th to Friday 26th April 2019. Due to sewer connection works this road will be closed on these days. Route 50 buses and school services 762 and 905 will divert via Nash Road, A421 and Shucklow Hill. ‘The Green’ and ‘Townsend Cottages’ stops will not be served during these days. The nearest served stops are the ‘High Street’ stops in Great Horwood.
Duke Street/High Street, Princes Risborough : Monday 22nd to Friday 26th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works Duke Street will be closed on these days and buses will not be able to serve the stops on the High Street. Passengers are advised to use the stops on New Road instead.
Heath Road, Beaconsfield : Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25th April 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days. The Beaconsfield Community Bus will not be able to serve Heath Road on these days.
St Mary’s Road, George Green : Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25th April 2019, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between these times. Bus route 583 will serve Blinco Lane and then divert by turn back round to the A421 Uxbridge Road, Sussex Place and Langley Road. The stops on Middle Green and St Mary’s Road will not be served.
Church Road, Slapton : Tuesday 23 April to Thursday 2nd May 2019, 7.00am to 7.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and route 162 will not be able to call in here. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Carpenters Arms’ stop on Horton Road instead.
Cressex Link/Coronation Road : High Wycombe, Tuesday 23rd April to Thursday 2nd May 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on this junction the route 34 buses after 7pm will divert via Turnpike Road and John Hall Way. The stops on Cressex Link and the stops just above the junction on Coronation Road will not be served. A temporary stop located on Turnpike Road can be used instead.
Bank Street, High Wycombe : Thursday 25th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed on this day. Route 27 will need to divert via the London Road and will not serve the stops on Bank Street or Orchard Road.
Crendon Road, Shabbington : Thursday 25th and Friday 26th April 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between these hours. Bus route 110 will divert between Long Crendon and Shabbington via the A418 and the ‘Home Close’ stop on Long Crendon Road will not be served.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Churchway and Woodways, Haddenham : Monday 8th April to Sunday 19th May 2019. Due to SGN works the Thame bound stop on Woodways and the ‘Village Hall’ stop on Churchway will be suspended on these dates passengers are advised to use the ‘Fort End’ stop on Tacks Lane instead.
Marsh Lane, Taplow : Thursday 11th to Friday 26th April 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Old Marsh Lane’ stops will be suspended between these dates. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘Ye Meads’ instead.
World’s End Lane, Weston Turville : Monday 15th April to Monday 27th May 2019. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Church Lane’ stops will be suspended during this period. The nearest available stops are at ‘The Chandos’ at the junction of World’s End Lane/Marroway.
Stag Lane/Heath End Road : Great Kingshill, Tuesday 23rd to Friday 26th April 2019. Due to BT Openreach works the ‘Fernside’ and Stag Lane stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Common or further up Heath End Road instead.
London Road, Padbury : Tuesday 23rd to Tuesday 30th April 2019. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘Springfields’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘The New Inn’.
Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Tuesday 23rd April to Wednesday 1st May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘St John’s Road’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘De Havilland Drive’ stops instead.
Wycombe Lane, Wooburn Green : Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th April 2019. Due to BT Openreach works the ‘Glory Mill Lane’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended on these days. The nearest alternative stop is south on Wycombe Lane just above the School Road junction.
