Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 6th May 2019

Week commencing Monday 6th May 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Tramhill, Brill : Friday 3rd to Friday 17th May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will closed during this period. The Wednesday and Friday 112 morning bus will divert after serving Ludgershall via the A41 and Blackthorn to serve Oakley before Brill it will then enter Brill via Oakley Road and travel onto Long Crendon from there. The afternoon journeys will do the reverse of this. The ‘Leatherslade Farm’ stops on the B4011 will not be served. Please note on Friday 3 May the 112 will not serve Brill due to a closure on Brill Road, Oakley, please see above.

Eaton Bray Road, Northall : Friday 3rd to Wednesday 8th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between these times. Buses will divert from Great Billington via Stanbridge Road and the Rye and will not serve The Swan stops in Northall or the stops in Northall Road in Eaton Bray.

Stewkley Road, Cublington : Friday 3rd to Friday 10th May 2019, 8.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. The 153 and 154 buses will need to divert via Stewkley Road, Wing then Wing Road into Cublington resuming normal route. As such the ‘Kiln Farm’ stops on Dunton Road will not be served.

High Street / Crendon Street / Easton Street / Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 7th to Sunday 12th May 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Wycombe Masterplan works to change the road layouts, these roads will be closed at these times. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station on these nights.

Penn Road, Knotty Green : Tuesday 7th to Wednesday 15th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road willbe closed at these times. Bus route 377 will operate as normal from Hazlemere to Penn, after serving New Road, Penn it will then need to divert via Hammersley Lane, A40 London Road towards Beaconsfield, then serve Holtspur, and Beaconsfield as far as the stop adjacent to the Red Lion at Knotty Green turning back round on Forty Green Lane and vice versa. As such the 377 bus will need extra time and may only be able to complete 2 of the 3 round trips. The driver will advise on the first morning journey. The ‘School Road’, ‘Penn Pond’, ‘The Red Lion’ (Penn) and the stop opposite The Red Lion.

Clifden Road, Worminghall : Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and bus route 110 passengers are advised that Worminghall will not served between these hours.

Beaconsfield Charter Fair, Old Town Beaconsfield : From 4.00pm on Tuesday 7th May to 6.00am on Thursday 9th May 2019. Due to this event buses will not be able to serve Aylesbury End, London End and A40 Wycombe End. The nearest served stops are as follows: The ‘Cricket Ground’ stops on London Road and the ‘Candlemas Lane’ stops on Station Road. Carousel Bus Service 580 will also not serve the ‘Candlemas Lane stops’ and passengers can use the ‘Waitrose’ stops instead.

Mentmore and Ledburn : Thursday 9th to Wednesday 15th May 2019, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to a closure in Mentmore the Tuesday 162 bus will not be able to serve either of these locations during this period.

Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Friday 10th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to a closure between Stag Lane, Great Kingshill and Lodge Lane, Prestwood, stops between these areas will not be served between these times.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Churchway and Woodways, Haddenham : Monday 8th April to Sunday 19th May 2019. Due to SGN works the Thame bound stop on Woodways and the ‘Village Hall’ stop on Churchway will be suspended on these dates passengers are advised to use the ‘Fort End’ stop on Tacks Lane instead.

World’s End Lane, Weston Turville : Monday 15th April to Monday 27th May 2019. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Church Lane’ stops will be suspended during this period. The nearest available stops are at ‘The Chandos’ at the junction of World’s End Lane/Marroway.

Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe : Tuesday 7th May 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘West End Road’ stop from High Wycombe town centre will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Plumer Avenue’ stop instead.

Ferry Lane, Wooburn Green : Tuesday 7th May 2019. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Ferry Lane’ stops nearest the junction with Hedsor Road will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Riversdale South’ stops further along Ferry Lane instead.

Denham Avenue, Denham : Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th May 2019. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Village Road’ stop towards Uxbridge will be suspended on these days. The nearest alternative stop is on Village Road (for 581 buses only) or on the A40 Oxford Road.

Mount Nugent, Chesham : Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th May 2019. Due to Virgin Media works the ‘Mount Nugent’ stop nearest Great Hivings junction will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hope Church’ stops on Upper Belmont Road’ instead.

West Street, Marlow : Friday 10th May 2019, 10.00am to 3.00pm. Due to works on behalf of BT the ‘Spinfield Lane’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Oxford Road instead.

Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville : Saturday 11th to Monday 13th May 2019. Due to gas pipe laying works the ‘Ranch House’ stop towards Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ambulance Station’ stop further along Lower Road (near Stoke Mandeville Hospital).
