Man threatened with knife during burglary in High Wycombe
A man was threatened with a knife during a burglary in High Wycombe on Wednesday 22nd May 2019.
The burglary occurred at around 2.30pm at a property in Hughenden Avenue. A 56 year old man answered the door of the property and a man forced his way inside the house, threatening him with a knife. A second man also entered the property and ran upstairs.
A number of electrical items and jewellery were taken before the two men leaft the property. The victim was not injured.
One of the offenders is described as a man, around 6ft tall and of muscular build. He had short, brown hair with a scar on one of his cheeks. He also spoke with an Irish accent.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sarah Simpson, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who may have any information to please come forward.
This happened in the early afternoon, at a time when I believe there is a good chance of someone witnessing it.‘
