Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 10th June 2019

Week commencing Monday 10th June 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

A413, Buckingham Road, Whitchurch : Wednesday 5th to Monday 10th June 2019 (excluding weekends), 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the section of road between Oving Road and Dunton Turn will be closed on these nights. Evening X60 buses will divert via Oving, North Marston and Granborough as per the service 60 route and the stops on Sheep Street Winslow will not be served. The nearest served stops are on Vicarage Road, Winslow.

Bourton Road, Buckingham : Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June 2019, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed. Buses will not be able to serve Bourton Road, Badgers Way or Bourtonville between these times.

Chairborough Road/Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe : Monday 10th to Friday 14th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works part of Chairborough Road will be closed on these days and bus route 33 will need to divert. After serving the ‘Jolly Bodger’ stop the buses will divert via Chiltern Avenue and Rutland Avenue and will not serve the ‘Methodist Church’ or ‘Laburnum Road’ stops on Rutland will not be served. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Bodger’ or a temporary stop on Rutland Avenue, located after the junction with Chiltern Avenue.

High Street, Cheddington : Tuesday 11th to Friday 21st June 2019, 7.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the 164 bus service will need to divert via Ivinghoe at these times and will not serve the stop on Cheddington High Street. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Green instead. Please note journey time will take longer due to this diversion.

Portway Road, Twyford : Thursday 13th to Monday 17th June 2019 (excluding weekends), 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works bus routes 16 and 18 will need to divert via Charndon and will not be able to serve Twyford or Poundon during these times.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Kingsmead Road, High Wycombe : Wednesday 5th to Tuesday 11th June 2019. Due to Cadent Gas works both ‘Beech Road’ stops will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘General Havelock’ stops further along Kingsmead Road, instead.

The Broadway, Amersham : Tuesday 11th to Monday 17th June 2019. Due to Affinity Water works stop A towards Amersham on the Hill will be suspended on these days passengers are advised to use the stop on Station Road or for route 335 on Gore Hill instead.

Denham Avenue, Denham : Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th June 2019. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Village Road’ stop towards the A40 will be suspended at these times passengers are advised to use the stop at Old Rectory Lane instead.

White Lion Road, Amersham : Wednesday 12th to Friday 14th June 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to BT Openreach works the ‘Pineapple PH’ stop towards Amersham town centre will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Village Hall’ or ‘Chiltern Heights’ stops both located on White Lion Road.

Main Road, Grendon Underwood : Wednesday 12th to Tuesday 18th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Rumptons Paddock’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Combined School’ stops instead.

Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 15th June 2019, 9.30am to 3.00pm. Due to BT Openreach works both ‘Grammar School’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use alternative stops on Amersham Road. For route 31 please use the stops on Arnison Avenue.

West Street, Marlow : Saturday 15th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Spinfield Lane’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Oxford Road instead.
