Firefighters attend the M40 at Stokenchurch following a report of smoke coming from a coach

At 8.56am on the morning of Friday 12th July 2019 firefighters were called to Junction 5 of the M40 (Stokenchurch) following a report of smoke coming from a coach on the Southbound exit slip road.

One fire appliance with crew attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Thame fire station as well as one from Wheatley fire station. Two officers also attended

However the coach, which was carrying 38 passengers, had broken down and was not on fire. The fire fighters left the incident with Thames Valley Police and Highways England.
