Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Monday 2nd September 2019

Week commencing Monday 2nd September 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

A418, Bierton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 2nd to Tuesday 17th September 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am (except weekends). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these nights and bus route 150 will need to divert via Aston Abbotts, Weedon and Buckingham Road. As such stops between Aylesbury and Wingrave Crossroads including Bierton, will not be served.

Amersham Broadway, Amersham : Sunday 8th September 2019, 7.00am to 7.00pm. Due to the Amersham Heritage Day event route 1A buses will need to divert between these times. After serving the ‘Crematorium’ bus stops the buses will divert via the A413 and Gore Hill. Stops on Amersham Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane will not be served. The nearest alternatives are on Gore Hill or the ‘Crematorium’ stops on Whielden Lane.

Bus Stop Suspensions

A41, Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Wednesday 17th July until Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to development and road layout works the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended for this period. The nearest served alternatives are the ‘Peugeot Garage’ or the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops.

Little Marlow Road, Marlow : Tuesday 27th August to Monday 2nd September 2019, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Foxes Piece’ stops will be suspended during these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Spittal Street’ stops on Chapel Street or ‘Bobmore Lane’ stops on Little Marlow Road instead.

Berkhamstead Road, Chesham : Tuesday 27th August to Monday 9th September 2019, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the stops either side of the junction with Alma Road will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Sportsman’ stops on Broad Street instead.

Furlong Road, Bourne End : Wednesday 28th August to Tuesday 3rd September 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Post Office’ stop will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mark’s Church’ stops on Station Road instead.

Cambridge Street, Aylesbury : Friday 30th August to Sunday 2nd September 2019. Due to UKPN works the stop towards down near the Royal Mail depot will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on New Street instead.

Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd September 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to BT Openreach works both St Michael’s School stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Pine Trees’ stop further along Daws Hill Road, which serves both directions of the road.

Oxford Road, Aylesbury : Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th September 2019, 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Street Lighting works all stops along here will be suspended for short periods over these evenings. These will be rolling suspensions so passengers may need to alight or board at the next stop along.

Gore Hill, Amersham : Monday 2nd to Friday 6th September 2019. Due to Affinity Water works both stops on Gore Hill near the junction with Amersham Broadway will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Station Road instead.

New Road, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd to Saturday 28th September 2019, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire Footway works the stops just north of Bookerhill Road will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rowan Avenue’ stops on Bookerhill Road instead.

Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe : Wednesday 4th September 2019, 8.00am to 5.00am. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘Rupert Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these nights. Passengers for route 800 services are advised to use the stops on Marlow Road, either side of the Cressex Road junction instead.
