Car engine caught fire on the A404

A car engine caught fire on the A404 during the afternoon of Friday 30th August 2019.

The incident happened on the northbound carriageway between Marlow and Handy Cross.

At 2.14pm firefighters were called to the incident. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station.

A hose reel was used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.
