Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 9th September 2019

Week commencing Monday 9th September 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Service Diversions

A418, Bierton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 2nd to Tuesday 17th September 2019, 7.30pm to 6.00am (except weekends). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these nights and the last two service 150 buses from Milton Keynes will need to divert via Aston Abbotts, Weedon and Buckingham Road. As such stops between Aylesbury and Wingrave Crossroads including all Bierton stops, will not be served.

Amersham Broadway, Amersham : Sunday 8th September 2019, 7.00am to .00pm. Due to the Amersham Heritage Day event route 1A buses will need to divert between these times. After serving the ‘Crematorium’ bus stops the buses will divert via the A413 and Gore Hill. Stops on Amersham Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane will not be served. The nearest alternatives are on Gore Hill or the ‘Crematorium’ stops on Whielden Lane.

Wotton End, Ludgershall : Friday 6th September 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works by UK Power Networks the 112 buses will need to divert and will not serve Ludgershall at these times.

Langley Park Road, Iver : Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th September 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire microsurfacing works these roads will be closed between these times and First’s route 3 will need to divert via Thorney Lane North and Richings Way. As such it will not serve Station Road (Langley) Langley Park Road or Iver High Street between Langley Park Road and Bangors Road South. The 583 buses will not serve the ‘Junior School’ stops on the High Street or the stop on Widecroft Road. The nearest served stops to Iver High Street are the ‘Evreham Road’ stops on Bangors Road South or the stop opposite ‘Chequers Orchard’ on the eastern part of the High Street.

High Wycombe Town Centre : Sunday 15th September 2019, 9.00am to 12.00pm. Due to an event in the town centre, buses will need to divert on this day and will not serve stops on the High Street or Castle Street. Passengers can use the stops on Crendon Street for all services travelling up Amersham Hill, Easton Street for buses travelling along the London Road or the Bus Station for all services.

Bus Stop Suspensions

A41, Aston Clinton Road : Aylesbury, Wednesday 17th July until Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to development and road layout works the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended for this period. The nearest served alternatives are the ‘Peugeot Garage’ or the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops.

Berkhamstead Road, Chesham : Tuesday 27th August to Monday 9th September 2019, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the stops either side of the junction with Alma Road will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Sportsman’ stops on Broad Street instead.

Gore Hill, Amersham : Monday 2nd to Friday 6th September 2019. Due to Affinity Water works both stops on Gore Hill near the junction with Amersham Broadway will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Station Road instead.

New Road, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd to Saturday 28th September 2019, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire Footway works the stops just north of Bookerhill Road will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rowan Avenue’ stops on Bookerhill Road instead.

Station Road, Loudwater : Wednesday 4th to Monday 9th September 2019. Due to urgent SSE repairs both stops along Station Road will be suspended. The nearest alternative stops are on Boundary Road or the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stops on the London Road.

Ferry Lane, Bourne End : Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th September 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Riversdale South’ stops will be suspended. The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Ferry Lane’ stops at the northern junction with Riversdale closer to Bourne End. Please note there is a footpath on one side of the carriageway only, so please take care if crossing.

High Street/Quainton Road : Waddesdon and Station Road, Quainton, Monday 9th to Friday 20th September 2019, 8am to 6pm. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the following pairs of stops will be suspended between these dates: ‘Baker Street’ on High Street Waddesdon, ‘Frederick Street’ on Quainton Road, Waddesdon and ‘Crossroads Farm’ on Station Road Quainton. Please note these will not be suspended for the whole time or at the same time as the BT works will run as a rolling programme. Please use the nearby alternatives as these are closed.

Marsh Lane, Dorney Reach : Monday 9th September to Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the ‘Harcourt Road’ stop towards Maidenhead will be suspended on these dates. 63 and 68 passengers are advised to wait back along the road directly opposite the shelter in the other direction.

West Street, Marlow : Tuesday 10th to Friday 13th September 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Spinfield Lane’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended passengers are advised to use the ‘West Street’ stop on Oxford Road instead.
