Road traffic collision in Hazlemere claims the life of a pedestrian

A fatal road traffic collision in Hazlemere claimed the life of a pedestrian on Saturday 7th September 2019.

At around 11.55pm a white Mercedes was travelling on the A404 in Hazlemere, near the junction with Gravelly Way, when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was in the road. A green Mitsubishi car, which was travelling behind the white Mercedes, also collided with the pedestrian.

Sadly the pedestrian, a 32 year old man from Hazlemere, died at the scene. Specially trained officers from Thames Valley Police are supporting the family of the pedestrian.

Both drivers of the vehicles involved were uninjured.

Investigating officer, PC Julia Stroud, of the Serious Collison Unit, based at Bicester said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have any information about this incident to please come forward.

I would also urge any drivers who drove along the A404 last night to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist us with our investigation.
