Masked robbers strike at a convenience store in Chalfont St Giles
Masked men carried out a robbery at The Co-Op in Chalfont St Giles on Friday 20th September 2019.
At 9.06pm, two masked men entered The Co-Op in the High Street, Chalfont St Giles and threatened a member of staff with scissors.
The men jumped over the counter, stealing cigarettes and lottery tickets before forcing open the tills to steal cash.
A third member of the gang, who was also masked, was waiting in a getaway car, a dark coloured hatchback, which the masked men used to make their escape.
The first man who entered the shop is described as having a slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and red gloves. He was wearing a black mask and was carrying a black recycling box.
The second man is described as having a slim build and was wearing a green hooded top with a black jacket over the top, grey jogging bottoms and black gloves. He was also carrying a black bag.
The driver of the getaway car was also wearing a face covering.
During the robbery nobody was injured.
Investigating officer, DC Lucie Roberts from Aylesbury Police Station said: ‘This is an appeal for any witnesses to the incident who were in the area at that time, however we are specifically wanting to identify a man who entered the store as the offenders were fleeing with the stolen items. He turned to watch the offenders get into a vehicle, and then entered the store. We are asking him to get in touch as he may be able to provide more detail on the offender’s vehicle.
