A funeral home in Hazlemere will be hosting a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillian Cancer Support on Friday 27th September 2019.

On Friday 27th September 2019 the Co-operative Funeralcare home in Hazlemere, High Wycombe will be hosting a coffee morning and tea and cake sale to raise funds for Macmillian Cancer Support.

Local residents are being invited to support the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning campaign and raise much needed funds for research into cancer.

The Funeralcare team will be on hand to those needing support as they come to terms with losing a loved one or simply looking for advice around planning for the future. They will also help people who need a better understanding of the workings of the funeral home and the services they provide.

The Coffee Morning, which in 2018 raised an incredible sum of over £26 million nationwide, began in 1990 and has since been hugely successful, gaining national support from communities across the UK.

In its 29 years of running, Coffee Morning has raised over £200 million for the Macmillan charity, ensuring that it continues to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can.

Jason Timms, Funeralcare Sector Manager at The Midcounties Co-operative Funeralcare said: ‘The team are really looking forward to opening their doors for Macmillan Coffee Morning and raising much needed funds for the charity.

It’s shaping up to be a lovely event and we would really encourage people in our local communities to join in and help us raise money to support those living with cancer.

With research indicating that one in two of us will face cancer at some point in our lives[1], it’s essential that we as a community do everything we can to support those in need.

The Hazlemere branch of The Co-operative Funeralcare is located at 21 Park Parade Centre, Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire, HP15 7AA. It will be hosting the Macmillan Coffee Morning event from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Friday 27th September 2019.
