Police charge man in connection with serious assault in New Road, High Wycombe

Following an incident in New Road, High Wycombe on Thursday 17th October 2019 police have charged a man from High Wycombe with one count of Section 18 wounding with intent.

The 18 year old man of Harenwaye, High Wycombe was arrested on Friday 18th October 2019 and charged with the offence on Saturday 19th October 2019. He appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on Saturday 19th October 2019 where he was remanded in custody.

The 18 year old man was also charged with one count of threatening a person with a blade / sharply pointed article in a public place.

The charges relate to an incident which occurred at around 2.55pm in New Road, High Wycombe on Thursday 17th October 2019 in which an 18 year old man sustained stab wounds during an attack by a group of up to three men following a collision involving two vehicles.

The 18 year old man who sustained the stab wounds was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.

Police also arrested a 20 year old man from High Wycombe on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent and criminal damage in connection with the incident, he has been released on bail until Thursday 14th November 2019.
