Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 4th November 2019

Week commencing Monday 4th November 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October 2019 to Saturday 29th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.

Langley Park Road / High Street, Iver : Tuesday 5th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Network Rail works in the Slough area, Service 3 will divert via Thorney Lane North, Richings Way, North Park and High Street Langley and not serve Langley Park Road. Service 583 will need to turn round at Dutton Way and will not serve the ‘Junior School’ or ‘Widecroft Road’ stops.

Hill Avenue / Chiltern Avenue, Amersham : Wednesday 30th October to Monday 4th November 2019 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on Station Approach on behalf of the London Underground the stops on Hill Avenue and Chiltern Avenue will not be served on these nights. Passengers are advised that the nearest served stops are either on Sycamore Road or Woodside Road.

Hughenden Road and Valley Road, High Wycombe / Hughenden : Monday 4th November 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire joint sealing works on the Morrison’s roundabout and the Cryers Hill Road roundabout buses will need to divert on this evening. Evening route 300 will need to divert from High Wycombe via the West Wycombe Road, the A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane and vice versa. As such stops in Hughenden and Naphill will not be served. Evening route 30 buses will divert from High Wycombe via Castle Street, Amersham Road and Hamilton Road and vice versa and will not serve the Morrisons stop.

Chartridge Road, Chesham : Tuesday 5th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire ironworks this road will be closed between Penn Avenue and West Dean Lane during these times. Route 77 will only serve Poles Hill and Darvell Drive on this day. All route 177 journeys will travel out from Chesham via Hyde Heath, entering Chartridge from the north and turning at Codgell’s Lane. Stops between Codgells Lane and Chesham Town Centre will not be served.

Wycombe Road, Princes Risborough : Tuesday 5th November 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire Joint Sealing works this road will be closed between Station Road and Shootacre Lane. Bus route 300 services towards High Wycombe will need to divert via Station Road, Shootacre Road, the A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane and will therefore not serve the ‘Woodway’ and ‘Poppy Road’ stops on Wycombe Road, stops in Lacey Green or stops on New Road in Walter’s Ash.

Main Street, Charndon : Tuesday 5th to Thursday 14th November 2019, 7.00am to 5.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and the route 16 journey from the ‘Main Street’ stop will depart from the stop adjacent to the Recreation Ground instead.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Monday 28th October to Wednesday 13th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘St John’s Church’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘De Havilland Drive’ stops instead.

Oxford Road, Denham : Wednesday 30th October to Tuesday 12th November 2019, 9.30am to 4.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Pinstone Way’ stop towards Gerrards Cross will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fulmer Lane’ or ‘Ugly Ducking PH’ instead.

Swains Lane, Flackwell Heath : Friday 1st to Thursday 7th November 2019. Due to Thames Water works the stop on Swains Lane towards High Wycombe will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use ‘The Common’ stop on Straight Bit instead.

Gerrards Cross Road, Stoke Poges : Friday 1st to Friday 15th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas both ‘Larchmoor Park’ stops will be suspended on these dates. The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Fox and Pheasant PH’ stops on Windsor Road.

Boundary Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 2nd November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas both ‘Lammas Way’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Knaves Beech’ stops instead.

Monument Lane, Chalfont St Peter : Wednesday 6th to Friday 8th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of Virgin Media the ‘Monument Lane’ stop towards Chalfont Common will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Pyghtle’ stop on Rickmansworth Lane or the stop on Chesham Lane instead.

Longbottom Lane, Seer Green : Thursday 7th to Friday 8th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the ‘Railway Station’ stop towards Beaconsfield will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside of the traffic management area and hail clearly to the driver.
