Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 18th November 2019

Week commencing Monday 18th November 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October 2019 to Saturday 29th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.

Main Street, Charndon : Monday 18th November 2019 to Monday 2nd December 2019, 7am to 5.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and the route 16 journey from the ‘Main Street’ stop will depart from the stop adjacent to the Recreation Ground instead. Please note this will significantly affect school transport service 907 to Buckingham and Royal Latin Schools. Revised timetables will be handed out to pupils travelling in advance.

Old Rectory Lane/Lower Road, Higher Denham : Monday 18th to Wednesday 20th November 2019, 9.30am to 3pm. Due to works by BT Openreach Old Rectory Lane will be closed. As such route 581 will need to divert and will not be able to serve the ‘Community Centre’ stop on these days.

Treadaway Hill, Loudwater (affecting Flackwell Heath stops) : Wednesday 20th to Tuesday 26th November 2019, 8am to 3.30pm. Due to Thames Water works Treadaway Hill will be closed during these times. As such Service 35 & Sunday service 37A buses will divert as follows:

• Service 35 buses will run between High Wycombe and Loudwater only. As such will not serve stops in Flackwell Heath including Swains Lane, Straight Bit, Fennels Farm Road, Oakland Way, Chapman Lane, Green Dragon Lane or Northern Woods.
• Passengers are advised to use service 36 from Northern Woods, Straight Bit or Heath End Road stops instead.
• Sunday Service 37A buses will run direct to Wooburn Green and will not serve Flackwell Heath on Sunday 24th November 2019.

High Wycombe Town Centre : Thursday 21st November 2019. Due to the Christmas Light Switch-on event buses will be diverted all day and will not serve stops on the High Street, Castle Street, Oxford Street or Frogmoor. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station on this day instead. Services travelling up Amersham Hill can also be caught from the stops on Crendon Street.

Chiltern Avenue (Station Forecourt), Amersham : Thursday 21st to Friday 29th November 2019, 8pm to 6am. Due to London Underground works, late evening route 1/1A and 105 journeys will not be able to serve the stops on Hill Avenue, Station Road or Chiltern Avenue on these nights. Passengers are advised to use stops C and D on Sycamore Road instead.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Lower Street, Stoke Mandeville : Monday 11th to Tuesday 19th November 2019. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘The Bell’ stops will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘The Bull PH’ instead.

Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe : Thursday 14th to Wednesday 20th November 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Oakridge Road’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Green Street instead.

Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 2019. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity the ‘Maybrook Gardens’ stop towards Hazlemere will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Amersham Hill Drive’ stop instead.

A40 London Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both the ‘Rayners Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stops instead.

Park Lane, Lane End : Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd November 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Widdenton View’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Tapping Road’ stops on Widdenton View (for all services) or the stops on Archers Way (for route 48 only) instead.

Thorney Lane South, Iver : Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd November 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Richings Park’ stops will be suspended on these dates. Temp stops will be provided nearby outside the traffic management and passengers are advised to wait here and hail for the buses to stop.

Longbottom Lane, Seer Green : Thursday 21st to Monday 25th November 2019. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Railway Station’ stop towards Beaconsfield will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside of the traffic management area and hail clearly to the driver.

Chinnor Road, Bledlow Ridge : Friday 22nd to Thursday 28th November 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Fords Close’ stop for journeys towards Chinnor will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Old Post Office’ or ‘The Boot’ instead.
