| November 15, 2019

A female pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car while crossing Hatters Lane in High Wycombe on Tuesday 12th November 2019.

The woman aged in her twenties was crossing the road in Hatters Lane in High Wycombe at around 5.25pm when she was involved in a collision with a blue Volkswagen Golf. Police believe the registration of the vehicle began with ‘W294’.

Following the collision the driver of the vehicle involved stopped for a few seconds before driving off leaving the injured pedestrian in the road.

The pedestrian sustained head and leg injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Wexham Park Hospital, she has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, PC Dawn Seston, of Amersham Roads Policing, said: ‘I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which a woman sustained injuries and the driver didn’t stop.

This happened in a public area at a time where I believe it could have been witnessed by someone. If anyone saw anything they are asked to please contact police.

I would also like to appeal to anyone who recognises the description of the blue Volkswagen Golf, with the registration plate beginning with W294. We believe that this registration plate might be cloned.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting 43190354037. Reports can also be made online.
