Boy, 14, sustains serious head injury during collision in London Road, High Wycombe
A 14 year old boy was left with a serious head injury following a collision in London Road, High Wycombe on Friday 8th November 2019.
The boy was found laying on the London Road at the junction of Chestnut Avenue at around 7.50am. He had suffered a fractured skull and was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough for treatment.
Police are still trying to determine the exact circumstances of the incident however they believe a dark coloured hatchback car had collided with the boy. The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene of the collision.
Investigating officer Inspector Holly Stockwell, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘Although this incident occurred two weeks ago, we are still trying to ascertain the circumstances that led to this young boy being injured.
Having reviewed CCTV of the area, we now believe the vehicle which was in collision with the boy was a dark-coloured hatchback, which did not stop at the scene.
I am appealing to any drivers that were in the area that morning who may have dash-cam, to please check this to see if it captured anything that can assist our investigation.
I am also appealing to anybody who believes that they witnessed this collision to contact us.
