Car left the roadway and ended up on the embankment of the M40
A car left the roadway and ended up on the embankment of the southbound carriageway of the M40 at Junction 4 (Handy Cross) during the morning on Saturday 23rd November 2019.
Firefighters were called to the incident at 10.40am. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station. An officer also attended.
The firefighters used a winch and rescue equipment to recover the vehicle which had come to rest on the embankment between the entry slip road and the main carriageway.
A woman was released from the vehicle by the firefighters. The woman was uninjured however the firefighters left her in the care of the ambulance service.
