Fire severely damages house in Chesham

A two storey house in Chesham was severely damaged by fire during the early hours of Sunday 5th January 2020.

At 4.47am firefighters were called to a fire at a property in Latimer Road, Chesham. One fire appliance with crew attended from Amersham fire station as well as one from Beaconsfield fire station, one from High Wycombe fire station, one from Berkhamsted fire station and one from Rickmansworth fire station. An officer also attended.

Four main jets, a hose reel and a turntable ladder were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of the property.
