Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 27th January 2020
Week commencing Monday 27th January 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bus Diversions
Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October to Saturday 29th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.
Whielden Lane / Penn Street, Winchmore Hill : Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th January 2020, 9.00am to 4.00pm. Due to BT Openreach works Whielden Lane will be closed and bus route 73 will need to divert. The buses will enter Penn Street from the Amersham Road and turn back round at the Squirrel PH. As such all bus stops on Whielden Lane and the Penn Street stops between Whielden Lane and the Squirrel PH will not be served at these times.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Station Road, Beaconsfield : Monday 6th to Friday 31st January 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works nearby both ‘Post Office’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Waitrose’ stops on Penn Road instead.
One Pin Lane, Farnham Common : Wednesday 8th to Friday 14th February 2020. Due to Cadent Gas works both the ‘One Pin PH’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Mayflower Way’ stops on One Pin Lane or the ‘Village Green’ stops on Hedgerley Hill instead.
A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles / Chalfont Common : Monday 13th January 2020 to Monday 10th February 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of HS2 both ‘Cherry Acre’ stops and the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Chalfont St Peter will be suspended at these times. The nearest alternative stops to ‘Cherry Acre’ are the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ stops and to the ‘Green Meadows’ stop the ‘Kings Road’ stops, all located on the Amersham Road.
Fowler Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th January 2020 to Friday 13th March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works road widening works as part of the Oxford Road corridor improvement scheme the ‘Fowler Road’ stop for journeys from town (nearest to the junction of the Oxford Road) will be suspended for this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Prebendal Farm Shops’ stop instead.
Water Stratford Road, Tingewick : Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th January 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both the ‘Cemetery’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Strangers Lane’ stops located on Main Street instead.
Tacks Lane, Haddenham : Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th January 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Fort End’ stop from Thame will be suspended on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Woodway or Thame Road instead.
Littleworth Road, Downley, High Wycombe : Friday 24th to Thursday 30th January 2020. Due to urgent Cadent Gas works the stop along Littleworth Road will be suspended between these dates. Route 30 passengers are advised to use the stop on Hithercroft Road instead.
Totteridge Road, High Wycombe : Sunday 26th to Wednesday 29th January 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Duke Street’ stops will be suspended on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Lucas Road’ stops instead.
Castle Street, High Wycombe : Monday 27th to Friday 31st January 2020, 9.00am to 4.30pm. Due to Thames Water works Stop V, for journeys travelling out of High Wycombe will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use stop J on Oxford Street/Frogmoor instead.
London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 27th January 2020 to Friday 6th March. Due to the A40 London Road corridor improvement works the ‘Hatters Lane’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended during these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stop instead.
Totteridge Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 30th January 2020 to Monday 3rd February 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Rowan Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bowerdean Crossroads’ stops instead.
Hatter’s Lane, High Wycombe : Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th January 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Holywell Gardens’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will be suspended on these days. The nearest alternative stop is the ‘Quadrangle’ stop on Wingate Avenue.
