Incident at Beaconsfield closed the railway line to and from London during the morning of Monday 27th January 2020
An incident at Beaconsfield resulted in the closure of the railway line to and from London Marylebone during the morning of Monday 27th January 2020.
Representatives from the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, British Transport Police and South Central Ambulance Service attended Beaconsfield railway station in Penn Road, Beaconsfield shortly before 9.00am following reports of a casualty.
The firefighters were called to the incident at 8.50am.
Part of Station Road in Beaconsfield was closed to traffic while the emergency services dealt with the incident. Services operated by Chiltern Railways were disrupted while the emergency services were in attendance.
The railway line was reopened around 1.30pm.
Sadly the person involved in the incident was pronounced dead at the scene.
⚠️ Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between #HighWycombe and #GerrardsCross all lines are blocked between these stations.
