Police appeal for witnesses following incident of dangerous driving in Desborough Road, High Wycombe

An incident of dangerous driving in High Wycombe has resulted in an appeal for witnesses by Thames Valley Police.

On Sunday 26th January 2020, at around 1.30pm, a vehicle failed to stop for police in Desborough Road. The vehicle was pursued onto Green Street however the police were then unable to locate it.

A number of vehicles had to take evasive action during the police pursuit to avoid being in collision with the vehicle.

Later police arrested two men, a 22 year old and a 23 year old, both from High Wycombe, on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply controlled drugs. Both men have since been released under investigation.

Investigating officer Sergeant James Hoskin, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘This incident happened in the middle of the afternoon, and I am appealing to anybody that was in the area and witnessed the manner of driving of a grey Vauxhall Insignia, to contact police.

I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the car from around 1.30pm on Sunday to get in touch.
