Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 3rd February 2020
Week commencing Monday 3rd February 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bus Diversions
Station Road, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 3rd to Friday 21st February 2020. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed during this period and the ‘Post Office’ stops will not be served. Bus routes 16 and 18 will divert via Millfield Avenue and Little Marsh Road. Passengers are advised to wait where safe on Millfield Avenue and hail clearly for the bus to stop. Passengers on route 18 can alternatively use the stops on Church Street.
Abbey Barn Road / Kingsmead Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 8th and Saturday 15th February 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the junction between these two roads will be closed on these Saturdays. Route 35 will divert via the London Road and Station Road and will not serve stops on Abbey Barn Road and Kingsmead Road on these days.
Bus Stop Suspensions
One Pin Lane, Farnham Common : Wednesday 8th to Friday 14th February 2020. Due to Cadent Gas works both the ‘One Pin PH’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Mayflower Way’ stops on One Pin Lane or the ‘Village Green’ stops on Hedgerley Hill instead.
A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles / Chalfont Common : Monday 13th January 2020 to Monday 10th February 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of HS2 both ‘Cherry Acre’ stops and the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Chalfont St Peter will be suspended at these times. The nearest alternative stops to ‘Cherry Acre’ are the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ stops and to the ‘Green Meadows’ stop the ‘Kings Road’ stops, all located on the Amersham Road.
Fowler Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th January 2020 to Friday 13th March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works road widening works as part of the Oxford Road corridor improvement scheme the ‘Fowler Road’ stop for journeys from town (nearest to the junction of the Oxford Road) will be suspended for this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Prebendal Farm Shops’ stop instead.
London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 27th January 2020 to Friday 6th March 2020. Due to the A40 London Road corridor improvement works the ‘Hatters Lane’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended during these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stop instead.
White Lion Road, Amersham : Wednesday 29th January 2020 to Thursday 6th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of UK Power Networks the ‘Pineapple PH’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Village Hall’ stop a bit further along White Lion Road instead.
Totteridge Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 30th January 2020 to Monday 3rd February 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Rowan Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bowerdean Crossroads’ stops instead.
Oxford Road, Aylesbury : Monday 3rd February 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘TA centre’ stop (for journeys out of town) will be suspended on this night. Passengers are advised to use the stop at the College instead.
Gore Road, Burnham : Monday 3rd February 2020. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Bredward Avenue’ stop for journeys towards Wexham Park Hospital will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the next stop along Gore Road.
Main Road, Naphill : Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th February 2020. Due to Affinity Water works both ‘Hunts Hill Lane’. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Louches Lane’ stops further along Main Road or the stops on Coombe Farm instead.
A41, Westcott Junction : Monday 3rd to Friday 7th February 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works both ‘Westcott Turn’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe, away from the works, and hail clearly for bus to stop.
Main Road, Bishopstone : Tuesday 4th to Wednesday 5th February 2020. Due to UK Power Solutions works the ‘Harrow PH’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe, away from the works, and hail clearly for bus to stop.
A4155, Marlow Road, between Henley and Mill End : Thursday 6th and Friday 7th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both the ‘Icehouse Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe, away from the works, and hail clearly for bus to stop.
Clay Lane, Booker : Sunday 9th February 2020 to Monday 2nd March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works both ‘Clayhill’ stops will be suspended during these period. Temporary stops will be set up outside the works area and passengers are advised to wait there instead.
