Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 2nd March 2020

Week commencing Monday 2nd March 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Church Street, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 3rd February 2020 to Friday 6th March 2020. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed and bus route 18 will need to divert via Castle Street, Spiers Lane, Whales Lane, West Edge and Tompkins Lane. As such the stops on Church Street and Bicester Road will not be served. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Post Office’ stops on Station Road instead.

Station Road, Quainton : Monday 17th February 2020 to Wednesday 4th March 2020. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed during this period. At the Station Road / Quainton Road Crossroads buses will then divert via the unnamed road entering Quainton at Lee Road and departing the same way. As such stops on Station Road will not be served. Passengers for the ‘Railway Centre’ and ‘Station Road’ stops are advised to wait on the junction of Quainton Road & Station Road and clearly hail for the bus to stop. Passengers for ‘Winwood Cottages’ & ‘Memorial Hall’ are advised to use the stop on The Green.

Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield : Monday 24th February 2020 to Sunday 3rd May 2020, 9.30am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire footway works Maxwell Road will be closed during this period. Stops on Maxwell Road will not be served. All services will divert between these times and passengers are advised of the following:

• Services 102 and 104 as well as Maxwell Road these routes will not serve stops on Aylesbury End, Station Road and Amersham Road. Please use the stops on Wycombe End, London End and London Road instead.
• Services 103 and 580 will divert via Ledborough Lane, please use the stops on Station Road instead.
• Service 377 will turn round at Aylesbury End/London End roundabout and will not serve the stop on London End or on Amersham Road.
  Passengers for the Beaconsfield Community bus can use the stops on Station Road.

Lower Icknield Way, Longwick / Great Kimble : Thursday 27th February 2020 to Friday 6 March 2020, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire resurfacing works this road will be closed during these times. The works will be done in sections and RCB passengers are advised to either speak to their driver or contact Risborough Community Bus for information regarding boarding points during this period.

Tring Road, Wendover : Monday 2th March 2020, 9.30am to 3pm. Due to urgent Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during these times. bus route 8 and 50 will need to divert between these times and will not serve stops on Tring Road, Upper Icknield Way or Halton.

Little Horwood Road, Great Horwood : Monday 2th to Wednesday 4th March 2020. Due to Anglian Water works this road will be closed on these days. Bus service 50 and Winslow Community Bus will divert via The Green, Nash Road, the A421, Warren Road and Shucklow Hill before resuming normal route. As such the ‘Green’ and ‘Townsend Cottages’ stops will not be served, passengers are advised to use the stops on the High Street instead.

A40 London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th March 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and buses will divert on these evenings. Services 101, 102, 103, 104 and X74 will divert via the A404 Marlow Hill and Daws Hill Lane and vice versa resuming their normal route at Loudwater.Services 32, 37, 37A, 39 will divert via Amersham Hill and Totteridge Road and vice versa. Route 32, will serve stops on Micklefield Road, north of the Hicks Farm Rise junction only. The 37 / 37A will resume normal route along London Road at Micklefield Road. Otherwise stops on the London Road between Easton Street, High Wycombe & Station Road Loudwater will not be served on these nights.

Stewkley Road, Wing : Saturday 7th March 2020, 8am to 5pm. Due to Anglian Water works Stewkley Road will be closed on this day. After serving Aston Abbotts the 165 buses will turn back round and resume the route to Wing on the A418, Aylesbury Road. As such the stops in Cublington will not be served on this day.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Fowler Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th January to Friday 13th March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works road widening works as part of the Oxford Road corridor improvement scheme the ‘Fowler Road’ stop for journeys from town (nearest to the junction of the Oxford Road) will be suspended for this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Prebendal Farm Shops’ stop instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 27th January to Friday 6th March 2020. Due to the A40 London Road corridor improvement works the ‘Hatters Lane’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended during these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stop instead.

Clay Lane, Booker : Sunday 9th February 2020 to Monday 2nd March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works both ‘Clayhill’ stops will be suspended during these period. Temporary stops will be set up outside the works area and passengers are advised to wait there instead.

Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Tuesday 18 February 2020 to Friday 26th June 2020. Due to development works the stops near the junction of Vicarage Road will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops, provided away from the works, instead.

A418, Aylesbury Road, Bierton : Tuesday 18th February 2020 to Monday 9th March 2020. Due to works in the vicinity the Aylesbury bound ‘Hulcott Lane’ stop will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bell PH’ stop instead.

Britwell Road, Burnham : Friday 28th February 2020 to Saturday 7th March 2020. Due to construction works in the vicinity both ‘Fairfield Road’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Gore Road instead.

Colinswood Road, Farnham Common : Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th March 2020. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘Yew Tree PH’ and ‘Harehatch Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops provided away from the works instead.

John Hall Way and Crest Road, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd to Friday 13th March 2020 (except weekends), 8pm to 5am. Due to construction works in the vicinity the ‘Empire Cinema’ and both ‘Next’ stops will be suspended on these nights. The nearest alternative stop is at Asda on Holmers Farm Way.

Moreton Road, Buckingham : Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th March 2020. Due to Western Power Distribution works the ‘Western Avenue’ stop for journeys towards Maids Moreton will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Highlands Road’ stop further along Moreton Road, instead.
