Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 16th March 2020
Week commencing Monday 16th March 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bus Diversions
Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield : Monday 24th February 2020 to Sunday 3rd May 2020, 9.20am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire footway works Maxwell Road will be closed during this period. Stops on Maxwell Road will not be served. All services will divert between these times and passengers are advised of the following:
- Services 102 and 104 as well as Maxwell Road these routes will not serve stops on Aylesbury End, Station Road and Amersham Road. Please use the stops on Wycombe End, London End and London Road instead.
- Services 103 and 580 will divert via Ledborough Lane, please use the stops on Station Road instead.
- Service 377 will turn round at Aylesbury End / London End roundabout and will not serve the stop on London End or on Amersham Road.
- Passengers for the Beaconsfield Community bus can use the stops on Station Road.
Fowler Road / Fairford Leys Way, Aylesbury : Monday 9th to Friday 20th March 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to a road closure on Fowler Road bus route Silver Rider 1 will divert via Coldharbour Way. As such Fowler Road and Fairford Leys Way will not be served on these evenings.
Micklefield Road, High Wycombe : Monday 9th to Saturday 21st March 2020. Due to gas works buses will not be able to access the stops between Hicks Farm Road and Woodside Road during this period. The nearest served stops will be on ‘Hawthorne Road’ stops for route 32 or on Hicks Farm Rise for route 39.
Woodway, Princes Risborough / Main Road, Lacey Green / New Road, Walter’s Ash : Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th March 2020, 9.30am to 3.15pm. Due to Thames Water works Woodway will be closed at these times. As such towards High Wycombe bus route 300 will need to divert via the A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane (and vice versa towards Aylesbury) and will not serve stops on Woodway, Lacey Green or New Road in Walter’s Ash.
Bletchley Road, Newton Longville : Tuesday 17th March 2020, 7.45am to 4.15pm. Due two works on behalf of East West Rail this road will be closed between these times. Bus route 50 will divert via Whaddon Road, Standing Way and Buckingham Road. as such stops between Whaddon Road and Buckingham Road will not be served.
Stanbridge Road, Haddenham : Friday 20th March 2020. Due to Thames Water works a section of this road between Aston Road and Woodways will be closed on this day. School day bus service 636 will divert via Aston Road and Churchway (and vice versa) and will not serve the stops on Woodways. Passengers are advised to use the Fort End stops instead.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Tuesday 18th February 2020 to Friday 26th June 2020. Due to development works the stops near the junction of Vicarage Road will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops, provided away from the works, instead.
John Hall Way and Crest Road, High Wycombe : Monday 2nd to Friday 13th March 2020 (except weekends), 8.00pm to 5.00am. Due to construction works in the vicinity the ‘Empire Cinema’ and both ‘Next’ stops will be suspended on these nights. The nearest alternative stop is at Asda on Holmers Farm Way.
Oxford Road, Tatling End : Monday 9th to Tuesday 17th March 2020. Due to development works the ‘Pinstone Way’ stop towards Gerrards Cross will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stop by Fulmer Lane instead.
Carters Lane, Long Crendon : Thursday 12th to Monday 16th March 2020. Due to works by Thames Water the ‘Carters Lane’ stop towards Chearsley will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Bicester Road instead.
A413, Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles / Chalfont St Peter : Monday 16th March 2020 to Sunday 10th May 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of HS2 the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Chalfont St Peter and both ‘Cherry Acre’ stops will be suspended during this period. The nearest alternatives are the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ and the ‘King’s Road’ stops all located on the A413.
Tring Hill, Aston Clinton : Tuesday 17th March 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘Crow’s Nest’ stops will be suspended between these times. The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Buckland Wharf’ stops on London Road, Aston Clinton, please take care if crossing this busy road.
Hughenden Road and Hughenden Avenue, High Wycombe : Tuesday 17th to Friday 20 March 2020. Due to BT Openreach works in the vicinity the stop opposite the ‘Beaconsfield Arms PH’ on Hughenden Road and the stop opposite Rynn Close on Hughenden Avenue will be suspended on these days. Route 300 and 333 passengers should use the stop by Coates Lane. Route 30 passengers will need to use the stop on Telford Way.
High Street, Great Missenden : Friday 20th to Tuesday 24th March 2020. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Whitefield Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops at the top of the High Street near the junction with Link Road instead.
