Restrictions placed visitors to Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe, Amersham and Buckingham hospitals due to Coronavirus
Due to Coronavirus, visitor restrictions have been put in place in place across all inpatient wards at Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe, Amersham and Buckingham hospitals.
Buckinghamshire NHS Healthcare Trust is currently imposing restrictions on visitors permitted onto all wards at Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe, Amersham and Buckingham hospitals.
The restrictions, which will be reviewed on a regular basis each day, are a preventative measure to limit the potential spread of the Covid-19 viral infection.
The Trust is asking that there should be no visitors to inpatients wards without prior permission from senior ward staff. Anyone wishing to visit is asked to call ahead before making a visit to the hospital to avoid not being allowed onto the wards.
The ward staff are instructed to inform patients and their friends and families of the restrictions for the safety of all our patients and workforce.
Anyone who has concerns is advised to speak to the nurse in charge of the ward who can advise on individual circumstances.
The restrictions come several days after a small number of patients at Wycombe Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
