Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 25th May 2020

Week commencing Monday 25th May 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic there are a number of changes to Bus Services in Buckinghamshire. Details of affected services and revised timetables can be found on the Buckinghamshire Council website.

Public Holidays

On Spring bank holiday Monday 25th May 2020 most bus companies will be operating the Sunday timetables of their revised services. If a bus route doesn’t have a Sunday timetable then it is unlikely to operate so please check with your bus company before travelling.

Bus Diversions

Whielden Street / Whielden Lane, Amersham : Monday 18th May 2020 to Saturday 4th July 2020. Due to a road closure buses will need to divert via the A413 and Gore Hill and will not serve stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street or the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane. For passengers needing to travel to Amersham Hospital a shuttle bus will operate between Gore Hill and the Hospital meeting 1 / 1A journeys. Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th May 2020. Due to Affinity Water works part of this road will be closed on these days. Buses will divert via Berkeley Avenue and will not serve the stops on Chartridge Lane between the two junctions with Berkeley Avenue.

Marlow Road, Cadmore End : Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th May 2020. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed on these days, bus route 28M will turn back round after serving Lane End and will not serve stops between Lane End or Cadmore End. Bus route 28 journeys to and from Stokenchurch will divert via Bolter End Lane and the A40 and will not serve stops between Bolter End Lane and Marlow Road.

Cambridge Street, Aylesbury : Tuesday 26th to Saturday 30th May 2020, 8.00am to 8.00pm. Due to electric cabling installation a section of this road will be closed near the Bierton Road / Park Street roundabout. As such bus routes 14, 100, 150 and 165 will divert via Vale Park Drive and Park Street and will not serve the stops on the High Street or Cambridge Street during these times.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Tuesday 18th February to Friday 26th June 2020. Due to development works the stops near the junction of Vicarage Road will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops, provided away from the works, instead.

A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles : Tuesday 17th March to Wednesday 1st July 2020. Due to works on behalf of HS2 both ‘Cherry Acre’ and the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Gerrards Cross will be suspended during this period. Please use the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ or ‘King’s Road’ stops instead.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Monday 18th to Tuesday 26th May 2020. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘West Street’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Royal Bucks Hospital’ stops instead.

A4010 Wycombe Road, Saunderton : Wednesday 20th to Wednesday 27th May 2020. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Golden Cross’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ministry Wharf’ stops instead.

Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Tuesday 26th May 2020, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to works on behalf of BT the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended between these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops instead.

Totteridge Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th May 2020. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Duke Street’ stops will be suspended during these hours. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Lucas Road’ stops instead.

Bell Street, Princes Risborough : Tuesday 26th May 2020 to Monday 8th June 2020. Due to SGN works in the vicinity the two stops on Bell Street will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to wait at the temporary stops provided and hail clearly to the driver.

Lower Icknield Way, Marsworth : Wednesday 27th May 2020 to Friday 5th June 2020. Due to works on behalf of UK Power Networks the ‘Angler’s Retreat’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Vicarage Road’ stop, further back along the Lower Icknield Way, instead.

Cressex Road, High Wycombe : Friday 29th May 2020 to Tuesday 2nd June 2020. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Turnpike Corner West’ stop will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Turnpike Corner’ stop on New Road instead.
