House caught fire in Bourne End following suspected lightning strike to the roof
A house caught fire in Bourne End during the evening of Saturday 13th June 2020.
At 8.35pm firefighters were called to the incident in Marlow Road, Bourne End. One fire appliance with crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station, two from High Wycombe fire station as well as one from Maidenhead fire station. An officer also attended.
Two hose reels, two sets of breathing apparatus, a turntable ladder and a 13.5 metre ladder were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a lightning strike to the roof of the property.
