Police appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Castlefield, High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police after a man was stabbed in Castlefield, High Wycombe on Friday 26th June 2020.

The incident occurred in Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe at around 8.15am.

A man in his twenties sustained stab wounds to his upper body. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment however he has since been discharged.

Police has arrested a 19 year old man from High Wycombe in connection with the incident, he has been released on bail.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Steve Fox, based at High Wycombe police station said: ‘I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has any information to please come forward.

Further, if any motorists were in the local area around the time of this incident, I would urge them to check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation.

I would also like to thank the local community for their patience whilst officers were in the area making enquiries and reassure residents that we believe this incident to be isolated, and that there is not a wider threat to the general public.
