An amazing £2,500 for Ward 8 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital has been raised by Aylesbury United Juniors FC under 9’s.

To raise the money the team took part in fund-raising activities including a sponsored head shave. The money raised has enabled the ward to purchase a much needed electrocardiography (ECG) machine.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test that can be used to check your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity.

Several of the under 9’s team presented the new ECG machine (at a social distance) to the Ward 8 team on Friday 10th July 2020.

Neil Macdonald, Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, said: ‘Once again members of the local community have gone above and beyond to fund raise for the Trust.

I’d like to say thank you, on behalf of Ward 8 and the Trust, to Aylesbury United Juniors FC under 9’s and those who have supported their fund-raising efforts.
