Colleague at Sainsbury’s in High Wycombe celebrates 50th year working at the company
A colleague at Sainsbury’s in High Wycombe is celebrating their 50th year working at the company.
Chris Beck, Food Services Assistant at the High Wycombe branch of Sainsbury’s, is celebrating his 50th year working at the company this week.
To mark the occasion the CEO of Sainsbury’s, Simon Roberts, paid a surprise visit to the High Wycombe branch to personally congratulate Chris for his efforts with a small celebration, in line with government guidelines on social distancing.
Ian Ellemore, Operation Manager at Sainsbury’s High Wycombe, said: ‘We are all so pleased to be celebrating our colleague Chris’s 50th work anniversary this week.
Our colleagues continue to go above and beyond for our customers, especially in recent times and since this is such a huge milestone for Chris, we really wanted to make it a special day for him and take this as an opportunity to show our appreciation.‘

Being with Sainsbury’s for 50 years, I can honestly say it really is a great place to work and I look forward seeing the same familiar faces and hopefully some new ones as I continue to work at the High Wycombe store.‘
