Police appeal for witnesses following report of a boy being kidnapped in High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a report of a kidnapping in High Wycombe.

On Saturday 1st August 2020, at around 7.00pm, a 15 year old boy was walking along the pavement in Kingston Road when he was approached by a vehicle driven by a man.

The man pulled the 15 year old boy into the vehicle and drove around the High Wycombe area before stopping a short time later in Totteridge Lane  outside the Best One convenience store. The 15 year old boy then managed to get out of the vehicle and get away.

The boy was not injured in the incident.

The vehicle involved in the incident is described as dark coloured and small.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Steve Fox, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘We are carrying out an investigation and are working to establish more details as to what occurred.

I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help our investigation, especially anyone who has any CCTV or dashcam footage would could be relevant.
