Roadworks for the week ahead – Monday 24th August 2020

Week commencing Monday 24th August 2020 Transport for Buckinghamshire will be carrying out work at the following locations.

The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.

Road surfacing

Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe – Abercromby Avenue to A40 West Wycombe Road : Monday 24th August 2020 to Wednesday 26th August 2020 – Surfacing using a day time road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Plomer Hill, High Wycombe – A40 West Wycombe Road to Plomer Green Avenue : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Patching using a 24/7 road closure.

Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe – Desborough Park Road to Mill Lane : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Patching using a daytime road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Bushmead Road, Whitchurch – Willowbrook Farm to Beechmoor Farm : Monday 24th August 2020 to Tuesday 25th August 2020 – Patching using a daytime road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Eythrope Road, Stone – A418 Oxford Road to the end of the public road : Monday 24th August 2020 – Patching using a daytime road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Grove Hill, Chalfont St Peter – Lovell Road to Lovell End : Wednesday 19th August 2020 to Friday 21st August 2020 – Surfacing using a daytime road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Lynton Road and Lyndhurst Road, Chesham – Upper Belmont Road to Greenway : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Surfacing using a daytime road closure between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Churchill Avenue and Vicarage Road, Aylesbury (The Square) : Monday 24 August 2020 to Thursday 27th August 2020 – Surfacing using a daytime road closure between 9.00am and 3.00pm.

Grenville Road, Aylesbury – Length of the road : Tuesday 25th August 2020 and Friday 28th August 2020 – Surfacing using a daytime road closure between 9.00am and 3.00pm.

A41 Gatehouse roundabout, Aylesbury – Roundabout to entrance of the petrol station : Monday 24th August 2020 – High friction surfacing using temporary traffic lights between 8pm and 6.00am.

General road maintenance

Continuation of lining works and road sweeping at various locations county wide.

Drainage programme

Amersham Road, Hazlemere – St John’s Road to Manor Road : Wednesday 26th August 2020 to Friday 4th September 2020 – Drainage improvements using temporary traffic lights between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Fairway, Princes Risborough – In communal verge area : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Drainage improvements using local traffic management between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Bridge improvement programme

Ivy Lane, Great Brickhill – Bridge next to the Three Locks Golf Club to Heath Road : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 9th October 2020 – Emergency bridge repairs using a 24/7 road closure.

Footway structural repair programme

Cherry Rise, Chalfont St Giles – Various locations along length of footway : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Pavement improvements using a road closure and local traffic management between 8.00am and 4.00pm.

Chadwell Path, Aylesbury – Various locations along its length : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020 – Pavement improvements using a road closure and local traffic management between 8.00am and 4.00pm.

Variable message sign installation programme

Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 24th August 2020 – Installation of electronic ‘variable message sign’ using local traffic management between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Safety barrier improvement programme

A41 Aston Clinton Bypass – Woodlands roundabout to B489 Lower Icknield Way slip road : Monday 24th August 2020 to Friday 11th September 2020 – Safety barrier upgrades (Eastbound) Using lane closures between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Safety programme

St Mary’s Way, Chesham – Town centre to High Street : Friday 28th August 2020 – Zebra crossing lining works using lane closures between 8.00pm and 6.00am.
