Twelve cars involved in a collision on the M40
A collision involving 12 cars occurred on the M40 on the afternoon of Sunday 25th October 2020.
At 5.47pm firefighters were called to the collision on the Southbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 4 (Handy Cross) and Junction 3 (Loudwater). Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station, one from Gerrards Cross fire station and one from Maidenhead fire station. Two officers also attended.
Firefighters and paramedics released a man and a woman both of whom were injured.
The South Central Ambulance Service assessed more than 20 people, 11 people were taken to hospital.
