Firefighters rescue girl from house fire in Beaconsfield
Firefighters rescued a girl from a house fire in Beaconsfield on Monday 18th January 2021.
At 11.03am firefighters were called to the incident in Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield. One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station as well as two from High Wycombe fire station. An officer also attended.
A ladder was used by the firefighters to rescue a girl from a bedroom window on the first-floor of the property. Two hose reels, four sets of breathing apparatus and a fan were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.
The girl and a woman, who was out of the house when the firefighters arrived, were left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
The firefighters also rescued two dogs and gave them oxygen.
