High Wycombe school encourages local children to apply for Fellowship award

| March 2, 2021

A school in High Wycombe is encouraging local children to apply for a Fellowship award.

Crown House Preparatory School in High Wycombe has announced that it will be awarding Robinson Fellowship awards in Art, Music, Drama, Dance and Sport to new and current pupils from September 2021.

The awards, which are named in honour of the late Sir Ken Robinson, one of the world’s best educationalists and an inspiration to the Crown House leadership team, each carry a discretionary monetary award to be applied to tuition fees.

The awards are being launched on the week beginning Monday 1st March 2021 to coincide with the ‘Imagine If Festival‘, an online celebration of the life and work of Sir Ken Robinson.

The Fellowships are designed to recognise and support talented local children to ensure they have all the resources they need to help them develop their creativity. Awards will be given to children who, further to an assessment and informal interview, show natural talent as well as aspirations to excel.

All children who receive a Fellowship will have an important role to play in Crown House’s arts and sport programme for 2021/2022. This will be recognised throughout the school year and will make an important contribution to the wonderful creativity that already exists at Crown House, which is part of the Chatsworth Schools family of schools. The deadline for Fellowship applications is Friday 7th May 2021.

Mrs Sarah Hobby, Head of Crown House Preparatory School, said: ‘I am delighted to launch these Fellowship awards which are open to all our current pupils as well as new pupils who are interested in joining the Crown House community.

I would encourage all parents whose children have a passion for art, music, drama, dance or sport to contact the School to find out more and apply for a Fellowship.

For parents who are new to Crown House we are now holding virtual tours and further details about these can be found on our website or by emailing [email protected].
